Mrinal Anand Memorial Cricket Tournament

The tournament started on 10 Dec 2005 and we played with sec A team and won . The match was played at IRISET grounds near Golf Course,Tarnaka,Hyderabad. When I reached there (I was the first person to reach there at 730am) I thought I came to someother ground and started to go back . on the way I met with our section mates and we all went for a search. After the arrival of the opponent team Sec A , it was confirmed that it was the same small ground where we have to play. The game started at 800am and We chose to field. I was keeping the wickets. They set us a target of 84 in 12 overs. That day was OK for me. Left one catch behind the stumps, and scored "0" of 2 balls that I faced. without any difficulty we won the game.

The next match was held at Masab Tank. The ground was still smaller than that of the previous one. This day we were very confident and reached the ground at 11 am anbd our match was at 130pm.Here in this ground the rules were a bit unorthodox. One such a rule was that " the batsman is ruled out if he hits the ball out of the ground but he is awarded 10runs for it". We won the toss .

Today everything went right for us , especially for me. I had a good day behind the stumps. Took one catch and involved in 2 runouts. The target our opponents(this time our seniors) was 74 in 12 overs. Their bowling was very good and our batsmen started fumbling down and the score read 5 for 2 in 1.4 overs.I went in to bat and played till the end to see the home team win. I did nothing more than blocking one end and scored a decent score around 25. The match went down the wire till the last ball . In the last 3 overs we needed 25 runs . I scored 8 runs from that over and the target was reduced to 17 from 2 overs with 3 wickets in hand. We scored 4 runs in last but one over and lost a wicket on the very last ball and the target seemed to achievable but needed some scintillating shot.I was at the non-striker end and on the very first ball our batsman got out and next came our hero of the match who scored 10 runs of a ball by hitting it out of the ground. Then the rest is formality which is completed by us. That was really an exciting game and it really nice to be inviolved in such high tension games.

Now we are into semi finals which is on 16 Dec 2005.

First Day at ICFAI

My classes of MBA start on June 1 ,but preparatory classes have just started and today is my first day ,it was really very good ,our strength for this is yr is around 800 and there are 80 in our section and only 8 from Hyderabad.(including me too).Lots of people from Kolkata and Delhi ...seems to be very famous among north Indians, but the environment is really electrifying, different students from all the country, most of them have experience(from 6weeks to 4yrs)........................woow...

today got to know abt the case studies.....ICFAI case developmet centre is one of the best case developers in the world as they claim but there is truth in it as I we the first yr students are being
tested for the skills of case study writing and this is the first kind of experiment to carried in the entire history of business schools all over the world...I hope it will be successful and hope I will be the part of the batch whose case studies will be published on ECCH's website(European Case Clearing House, which is the biggest house of case studies )

very hectic schedule ..morning 930 to evening 530....feels like a school...after all I m in a bSCHOOL...anyhow frns ....mail u later and will in touch with u..

but the basic infrastructure ,environnment and the method of teaching is very satisfactory ...even though I shud not conclude on 1st day's class....here the computer lab is very spacious and library is a bit small but its good too.........
